ATTORNEYS NEEDED FOR MILITARY LEGAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

The State Bar of Georgia’s Military Legal Assistance Program (MLAP) is in search of attorneys to volunteer to help Georgia’s service members and veterans on a pro bono or reduced fee basis. Our goal is to connect active duty service members rank E-5 or below as well as military retirees and 100 percent disabled veterans with a financial hardship with attorneys to provide a free consultation on a litany of civil matters and continuing legal assistance. VA accredited attorneys can also be connected with veterans who are seeking VA disability benefits.

The MLAP program is narrowing its focus to pro bono and low bono service for the most vulnerable of our active duty service members and veterans. If you are currently registered as an MLAP attorney, please recommit to MLAP by filling out this form [ www.surveymonkey.com ] . If you have not been involved in using your legal skills to help veterans and service members, sign up today [ www.surveymonkey.com ] !

If you have any questions regarding MLAP, please contact MLAP Director Christopher Pitts at 404-527-8765 or MLAP@gabar.org [ mailto:MLAP@gabar.org ] .
