Entertainment & Sports Law Section | Officer Elections

Dear Entertainment & Sports Law Section Members,

I hope this email finds each of you well. We’ve been delayed a bit, but it’s time to hold elections for 2020-22 officers of the Entertainment & Sports Law section. If you would like to be considered as an officer, or would like to nominate someone, then please email Haley.Carlson@TheSeayFirm.com no later than by August 31st, 2020. Make sure to include what position you would like, or what position for which you want to nominate someone, and also a brief statement of interest or note about the person you’re nominating.

We will compile the nominations, and then the current officers will select a slate of candidates to place on the ballot, which we will circulate to section members for voting via email (anticipated in early September). Please make sure that the State Bar has your up-to-date email address on file. Also, I’m told that the State Bar uses SurveyMonkey for electronic voting, so please also make sure that emails from SurveyMonkey don’t go into your junk folder. We hope to announce new section officers in mid-September. Exact dates, though, are TBD.

The below positions are available. Please note that there is a requirement that the chair have served a previous position on the board unless no current board members want to serve as chair, so that is the only position not available.
