Family Law | Institute Update

Dear Family Law Section Members,

Despite the best efforts of ICLE and the Westin Hilton Head Island Resort, we are sorry to formally announce what most of you probably already assumed – we are not going to be able to reschedule the 2020 Family Law Institute this year – at least not in its traditional form. We are still exploring our options regarding how to deal with the advertised program and slate of speakers given what appears to be the “new normal.” The Westin, like many other hotels and large venues, simply cannot accommodate a group our size in the near future given ongoing pandemic-related health concerns.

The Executive Committee of the Family Law Section remains committed to providing the highest quality CLE courses for section members and non-members alike. We are working on ways to move forward with social and educational events while prioritizing everyone’s safety and health.

If you sponsored the 2020 Family Law Institute, Mary Jo Sullivan, the State Bar of Georgia’s Sections Director, will be processing refunds over the next two to three weeks. We greatly appreciate your patience with us, as this process will take the Bar’s accounting department a bit of time. If you paid by check, you will be issued a refund check. If you provided a credit card for your sponsorship, your card will be refunded. If you have any additional questions or concerns regarding your refund, you may reach Mary Jo directly via email [ ] .

Again, thank you for your support, patience, and understanding.
