This lunch and learn covers common issues in dog bite cases in the civil courts, including: liability under the O.C.G.A 51-2-7; negligent management; common defenses; dog bite court; preparation and investigation of the case pre-suit. This course will include developments in case law; typical municipal ordinances and will touch upon the handling of dog bite cases through litigation. Lunch is included. Space is limited.

About Our Presenters:

David M. Zagoria, Esq.

David Zagoria, Esq. practices plaintiff’s personal injury at The Zagoria Law Firm, LLC in Atlanta, Georgia. David’s practices focus on representing victims of serious injury dog bites. He has successfully handled countless dog bite cases in mediations, jury and bench trials, and appeals. David is the current Secretary of the Atlanta Bar Association’s Animal Law Section for the 2019-2020 year, and has served as a CLE speaker on animal law topics for several organizations and bar associations, including the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association.

Sean Gill, Esq.

Sean Gill, Esq. is a partner at the law firm of Gower, Wooten & Darneille in Atlanta Georgia. Sean represents insurers and their insureds in defending a variety of tort claims involving motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, construction defects, and storm water runoff. He has litigated and resolved hundreds of cases where the liability exposure ranged from several thousand to several million dollars. Sean’s premises liability practice typically involves slip/trip and falls, recreational/off road vehicle accidents, and dog bites. Sean has defended scores of dog bites over the years covering everything from phantom bites to the most serious of injuries.
