Community Announcement: UGA’s Journal of Intellectual Property Law’s 2020 Conference, “The IP of IPAs”
The University of Georgia School of Law will host “The IP of IPAs” on Thursday, February 27, in the Larry Walker Room of Dean Rusk Hall, located on UGA’s North Campus. The conference is open to the public and will take place from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. Doors open at 4 p.m. A reception will follow.
Organized by the Journal of Intellectual Property Law, “The IP of IPAs” will explore various issues that Georgia breweries face in the realm of intellectual property. Our panelists include:
– Brian Roth, the co-founder of Southern Brewing Company;
– Chase Scott, of counsel to Taylor, Feil, Harper & Lumsden, P.C.; and
– Dustin Watts, the president of Terrapin Beer Company.
Shivani Patel and Stephen Wolfson will moderate. Patel’s note, “The IP of IPAs: A Look Into Trademark Infringement in the Craft Beer Industry,” won the Journal’s Best Student Long Note for the 2018 – 19 academic year.
The event is free, and Koozies will be provided on a first come, first served basis. However, all attendees should register at the link below.
