IP Section Lunch and Learn | Music Legislation: From the Clinton Administration to the Music Modernization Act & Beyond

Please join the State Bar of Georgia IP Section for an informative Lunch and Learn from 12-1:30 p.m. on Friday, June 7, at the Bar Center in Atlanta. Make plans now to come and learn about the legislative response to disruptive technology in the music industry. This presentation will delve into the history of disruptive technology in the music industry and digital space, and our government’s response to it starting with the Clinton Administration and culminating in the Music Modernization Act. Lee Morin, Morin Entertainment Law, will share her first-hand experience with the advocacy process as a District Advocate for the Recording Academy®, Atlanta Chapter, during which time she advocated to Congressman John Lewis, among others. Come prepared to learn about the intersection of the music business and copyright law in the digital world.

Cost: Attendance is free for IP Section members and $25 for non-members; however, there will be $5 fee for attendees seeking 1 hour general CLE credit.
