Dear Health Law Section Members:

It is a privilege to serve as the chair of the Health Law Section for the 2018-19 term. We greatly appreciate your continued participation and contributions! Our 2018-19 Health Law Section officers include Amy Foust, vice chair; Rebecca Merrill, secretary; and Lynn Adam, immediate past chair.

We are diligently preparing for upcoming events including the Alan Rumph Memorial Fellowship Program for outstanding health law students, our Spring Lunch and Learn session, our Advanced Health Law Seminar and various events associated with our new Mentorship Program. Additionally, we are finalizing our Spring Newsletter for publication.

We are excited to report that information regarding the Health Law Section, including upcoming events, is now available on our newly established LinkedIn page at www.linkedin.com [ www.linkedin.com ] ! We encourage all Health Law Section members to join the LinkedIn group and be in the “know” with respect to events, publications, mentoring and fellowship alerts, and other exciting group activities.

In addition to preparing for upcoming events, we are pleased to announce that we are accepting nominations to fill three vacant seats on our Executive Committee. In accordance with our Bylaws, individuals must meet the following qualifications:

1. be a member in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia;

2. be a member of the Health Law Section; and

3. be an active participant in activities of the Health Law Section.

Selected members may serve up to two consecutive terms of three years. Please submit your nominations to lrhodes@dch.ga.gov [ mailto:lrhodes@dch.ga.gov?subject=Nominations%20for%20Executive%20Committee ] by close of business on Friday, April 5. Final selections will be made by April 19.
