Real-Life Stories Needed for PSA Campaign
Dear Fellow Bar Members,
We’re kicking off production on the third year of our public service announcement (PSA) campaign, “Who Needs Lawyers? We do.” The success of this campaign has been possible because of you. Each of the six stories we’ve featured over the past two years have come from lawyers across Georgia who were willing to share their clients’ stories with us.

The goal of the campaign is to increase the positive perception of the legal profession. We bring real lawyer/client success stories to life, showing actual people whose lives were changed for the better due to the above and beyond efforts of their attorneys.
We need a new group of stories this year. We are looking for poignant, heart-touching real-life cases with dramatic impact from a broad range of areas of the law.
Do you have a story or know of one? Please email stories to sarahc@gabar.org [ mailto:sarahc@gabar.org ] by Friday, Sept. 7. You may use the following questions to submit your response:
– What is it about this case that makes it compelling?
– What type of law does it involve?
– Is this case interesting to the general public?
– Are the people who were part of this story accessible? Are they here in Georgia? Are they willing to be filmed and have the story publicized widely?
– When did this case happen?
– Where was this case tried? What part of the state do you practice in?
– Do you know of any other case that is similar to this?
You don’t have to write your submission as a story or advertising copy. We just need the key points and a generalized understanding of the case, and we’ll ask for more information as needed.
