This panel will provide an in-depth discussion of the importance of thoughtfully implementing and documenting tax planning strategies, because even a great idea can have negative consequences when it is not properly defended. The panelists will help you navigate best planning strategies such as (1) thoughtful consideration of privilege and work product at all stages of planning, (2) understanding and implementing record retention and litigation hold policies, (3) the effect of personnel changes during the planning process, (4) defining success and (5) focusing on the end goals at the beginning of the planning process.
