REMINDER | Strategies for Addressing Section 101 Eligibility Issues at the USPTO | Nov. 8 | Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP

Please join the Patent Committee of the Intellectual Property Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia at the offices of Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP for a lively panel discussion regarding different strategies for addressing patent-eligibility issues in business-oriented technologies. Lunch will be provided.

Innovations for financial technologies, web analytics, online marketing platforms and other business-oriented technologies face some of the toughest eligibility challenges in the U.S. Patent Office. What techniques can patent prosecutors incorporate into their drafting and claiming strategies to preempt and address these challenges? How will patents obtained with these strategies fare in litigation? How is recent case law including Berkheimer v. HP affecting these strategies? This CLE will feature a discussion of these issues with both prosecution and litigation counsel, along with perspectives from in-house counsel on the value of these approaches to the client’s portfolio.
