Workers’ Compensation Law | John Sweet

Dear Friends,

Any of you who have practiced workers’ compensation in Georgia for any length of time know or know of John Sweet. John died on May 24, 2020, when he lost his valiant battle against Parkinson’s disease. John was admired and respected by all sections of the workers’ compensation community. I have never known a finer man or a better lawyer. John was a supporter of Kids’ Chance from the very beginning and for years acted as the auctioneer when we held a live auction at Sea Palms during the annual ICLE workers’ compensation seminar. I would like to see us raise at least $20,000.00 to have a 4 year Kids’ Chance scholarship created in John’s memory. If you would like to make a donation, you may log on to www.kidschancega.org [ kidschancega.org ] , go to the donate button and make a donation indicating that it is for John Sweet scholarship or you may mail a check payable to Kids’ Chance to Kids’ Chance of Georgia, P.O. Box 922381, Norcross, Georgia 30010, indicating it is for John Sweet’s scholarship. Kids’ Chance will let Midge know of your gift. Thanks for honoring John and for making it possible for a child of the sort of folks John worked so hard to represent achieve his/her educational dreams.

Sincerely,

Ann Bishop
